Meet Chelsea Wyatt
Our girl Chelsea Wyatt is up next... If you haven't had the chance to ring in Fridays with her, then you're weekend might have been missing that extra sparkle.
Chelsea joined the VPUY family last spring and quickly build an audience for her Friday morning 9:30am class at Marina Park. Her quick witt blends seamlessly with her "just breath" attitude.
Chelsea has stayed busy during quarantine moving into her new Home on Water, but also keeping our community flowin. You can find her online offerings here:

Tell us about the evolution of your yoga practice: My yoga practice began as a skeptic. I was a teenager who just happened to stumble across a yoga class at the local gym I was going to. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t love it. But, when life got really hard a couple years later, I found myself on my mat again, and this time, I had a teacher that changed everything for me. The way he carried himself, the way he talked, the way he practiced; something told me he had found the light- I know I needed that for myself, too. So I started going two or three times a week and since then.. Yoga is my lifestyle. It has changed the way I look at the world.
What’s one thing you wish you could tell yourself when you began your yoga practice: It doesn’t matter if it feels weird and silly, or you’re worried about what you look like.. You are meant to be doing this. Keep at it.
Why do you teach yoga: I teach yoga because it has been such an enormous gift in my life; it has transformed my whole being. I just want to share that with people. I think EVERYONE needs yoga, in some way or another.
How long have you taught: 2 years.
If you could have lunch with any inspiration individual (dead or alive) who and why: That’s a tough one.. But I think it would be incredible to sit and chat with Gandhi. I think it’s amazing what he inspired and he is proof that our silly little life here on Earth can be absolutely magnificent and truly make an impact on the world and the people around us. To lead with love, always.
Favorite Treat: TJ’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups with a glass of Red Wine on the side ;) Favorite Book: The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho How Yoga Works - Geshe Michael Roach How many countries have you been to: 11 Spirit Animal: Dolphin
One thing we don’t know about you: I’ve always wanted to be a back up dancer.
We might have to "break dance" into Fridays in a new fashion when we get back to the parks!!
