Wellness Wednesday- Natural Remedy for Ants

Homemade Natural Ant Remedy

Coming home from peaceful Montana, the last thing I wanted to deal with were hundreds of ants that invaded my space while I was gone.

Having dogs and a newborn, I wanted to stick to something natural, yet effective.

Leave it to my good friend Google that led me to this quick and easy recipe on how to rid my home of ants naturally. It was simple; vinegar and water in a spray bottle. The challenging part was the smell. But of course, that’s what helps rids the ants!

I dug a little bit deeper on Pinterest for a creative and natural solution for the smell (btw follow us here for quick and easy pinning of all our blogs). I found that after allowing some orange peels to soak in the concoction, Voila! No pesky ants and no stinky chemicals. The best part is you can also use this recipe as an everyday household cleaner!

Recipe:

1 part Vinegar

1 part Water

Orange Peel (quantity will depend on the bottle size)

In a spray bottle mix everything together. Once the orange peel has soaked for a week or two the solution is even better, but it can also be used right away.

Let the spring cleaning begin!...with no ants!
